so yeah over the festive fun time i've been brain storming nothing new i've played around with my after effects settings getting a more dated look but that didn't take two mins really

17th

so i've been thinking about Fridays crit and the big question was that my stuff had 2 styles it seemed one shot was very fast and fluid the other had that cheese now i had no issues with it but my tutor did and told me i should just roll with one.

the first is being very fluid and fast like the test shot of the jet flying. the second isnt its a more classic 80's look lots of little tricks and stuff. any ways i've made a poll about it

today was a tad lame

my animatic was a fair but it turns out i lost my fav pencil and it wasn't cheap and my others are all too dark and i don't have the faintest idea what's happened to it its always in my pencil case

so before a go back to Bristol for the holidays I'm going to sit down and re do some parts and hope it will pass mustard i think its just the end that needs help

11th

today is printing day also did colours on the humans

10th

mostly working on my friends animatic and i've also made a start on colouring the humans

7th

changed a few things in my paper work and such nothing new on the creative side

5th

short one today i made some hi res pics of my robots for printing and edited together my storyboard for 4 or 5 revisions of the same fight sequence

not much to do now i've printed off my budget, summery, research and self evaluation. all i have left to do is a schedule some prints of my characters and print out a story board huzza

any ways just finished the coloured concept art of Acid Wing the generic bad guy

didn't get much done over the weekend today i'm just key framing some stuff i did over the weekend

1st

not much done today started the budget part of my production pack... also i got leader class Brawl coolist tank ever and all those gun noises and lights are teh win

oh and ive had to change a shot since the test was ass

nothing much today just did a few BG characters and tweaked a past shot and scraped another since it looked lame (shame since it was close to being done)

29th

small update today

1st OMFG I've got to have a first draft of my dissertation done next week lucky I've done 7000 of 8000-10,000 words so its not much work and all I'm doing is vomiting my knowledge of transformers and watching a lot of DVD's (hazaa for Japanese's TF shows getting put onto DVD in the UK)

2nd I've been spending today doing the little things like the 500 work self evaluation and editing my animatic so it has the new shorter fight originally it was 2 minutes now its 1:30 it will be even shorter when its done

and finally 3rd as far as i know my internet has gone down at my flat i phoned tech support they knew their was an issue and they told me they would phone me with an update by 10... its 2:06 right now and nothing... so I'm not sure if i can update this on the weekend

i was going to tag on my animatic but it was taking hours so i will have to make one in a smaller res to add

28th

todays bit

Done a few sketches for the young kid looks a little older then what i had done in my animatic but i like it.
Also I'm going to tag on a WiP shot i did the animation for this one first but I've yet to try to do the back ground that will aether be made in toonboom or flash depending on my mood when i get round to it.

1st entry

started this blog in order to replace my ass hat of a diary that was a giant fail and was never really used

today on the 27th I've started going over my sketches of head designs I've done for the female lead and made a general body as well as doing a few faces

heres the art I've done for the real stars DiaGoGear (while, black, red and green) and as as yet unnamed blue and purple robot not shown is Acid wing the name of the generic green unit named after in acid colour and that it turns into a jet like the others

also ive tagged on one of my tests the idea is that your seeing DGG (DiaGoGear) running to ward a generic enemy with our POV being along side DGG but at a normal ground level. I'm not sure on this look it seems a bit too polished colour wise when I'm aiming to get the look of the 80's early 90's stuff like G Gundam, transformers, getter robo etc etc but then I'm doing this mostly digitally so i knew it wasn't going to have the same feel

oh and heres some rejected designs for the robots both were up for being the lead goodie but i was informed the coloured were very much like Gurren Logan... f**k i told myself even if the shapes and general look were different the colours are still very close. the 2nd was my leading idea for some time only i felt it would be much nicer if it looked grander and have a much more simple transformation at the cost of adding some odd looking details
